'Jaiberas' is a current ongoing documentary photo series started in 2019 examining the unique challenges facing migrant workers, specifically a group of women who travel from Central Mexico to fulfill jobs in crab-picking houses on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The project aims to expose the persistent labor problems in temporary work programs in the United States while focusing on the bonds that the women have forged to help each other navigate the challenges of daily life on a remote island that is grappling with the impacts of climate change.
